Megan & Bran Wedding - Sydney 12 February 2010

How did they Meet: Bran and Megan are lawyers and met in court one day (how sad is that!). Megan made an application that was not successful, Bran then made an unrelated application that was successful. He likes to tell people that they met when he beat her in court one day - not true!

Bran and Megan were attending a friend's wedding during the day. When they got home he suggested a walk down to Manly for dinner. As they were strolling along the beachfront he stopped, got down on one knee and asked Megan to marry him. Megan couldn't understand what he was doing on the ground and said 'What are you doing down there?' After Megan (finally) connected the dots she said yes and commenced blubbering.

Megan & Bran got married on 12 February 2010 and bellow is their recommended supplier.

Celebrant’s Name: Suzanne Stirling

Ceremony: The ceremony was supposed to be on the beach at Collaroy but it rained, so they had it at the reception venue (Narrabeen SLSC). It was beautiful, even though the weather wasn't perfect; the huge windows looked straight out onto the surf, which was beautiful. They couldn't have asked for better she said.
Venue: The venue was Narrabeen SLSC.  They wanted a place right on the beach that didn’t cost a million dollars. The views are spectacular, the facilities are top notch and they were happy with their choice

Flower Supplier: Mum

Transportation Hire: Stepfather

Cake Supplier: A Very talented Mum. She made it all

Honeymoon:  Phuket, Thailand

What did they enjoy the most: Having all of their loved ones with them to share their special day - it would not have been the same without everyone there Megan replied.

Tips for other Brides: Megan paid the sister one of her friends to look after things for her on the day so that she wouldn't have to worry about all the little things that crop up at the last minute. It saved her a lot of stress on the day and was well worth it.

Why I love doing wedding Photography?

BY ANTONY SCHUSTER

It’s a great sociological study of a huge cross section of the multi culturalism Sydney. There is such a wealth in diversity in cultures here in Sydney I’m never tire of being invited to document the love and joy of couples at their wedding day.

That unique moment, once in a lifetime gathering of friends and family on such an important occasion.

It’s such a fanfare of laughter, joy, tears, all the emotions involved from anticipation in the air, the intensity, concentration then release of letting go at the reception.

There is a huge variety of personalities present at each and every wedding. The crazy uncle, the brothers, the cousin (black sheep of the family) that hasn’t been seeing for ages, the grandparents who have seen it all, to the laughter and innocence of the energy of the children running around in a frenzy.

Diversity of cultures is always interesting. From the mostly Celtic North Shore Areas of Sydney, to the inner west suburbs, all add to such colorful and interesting story line.

Locations are always different. One day shooting near the harbour bridge our beautiful Sydney backdrop, other days in some upper class 5 start hotel to the simplistic and more familiar surrounded wedding of a suburban backyard.

No matter what, the energy of a wedding day it always cherished by me.
